Books for Leisure

The Long Way Home by Louise Penny

If you have been reading my blog for awhile…you know that I am smitten with the Inspector Gamache series. I finished How the Light Gets In at 3:30am last week. I could not put it down! Next up The Long Way Home.

Look Alive Twenty-Five by Janet Evanovich, A Stephanie Plum Novel

I started reading this series when we lived in China. I found myself on many 14 hour flights and Stephanie Plum kept me entertained. I struggled to keep my laughter quiet so that other passengers didn’t think I was a lunatic. I thought I would pick up the series again! Hoping for several more good belly laughs.

Books Not Pictured but recently read and recommend

Lessons in Chemistry by Bonnie Garmus

About a single mom chemist in the 1950’s who has a dog named 6:30. She deals with social inequities for women scientists. It is humorous and poignant.

Mad Honey by Jodi Picoult and Jennifer Finney Boylan

A murder mystery, beekeeping, and insight into transgender struggles. A great book that will open your mind.
