“It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.”
~Ernest Hemingway
As promised in our last newsletter, I'm sharing a few more photos from our tulip tour in LaConner, WA.
We arrived at the very end of the festival so there were only a few tulip fields still blooming. We made the best of it and really enjoyed the bike ride through the countryside.
LaConner is located 67 miles north of Seattle and sits on the Swinomish Channel next to Whidbey Island. I have a few recommendations for you if you get a chance to visit this cute little village.
