While I was in Boise last week…I took some photos for our website and social media at my Father-n-law’s new villa. My work surface was a beautiful wood table that was adorned with a handmade crochet table cloth.
I have a collection of family crocheted pieces like this…they are really gorgeous…but…I have a hard time finding a place or way to use them.
Soooo…I did a little research and found a few fun ideas to use crochet doilies for fall decorating.
Covering artificial pumpkins with doilies is a wonderful way to use small crochet pieces. You can cover the whole pumpkin…or…
…just cover the top. Soooo cute!
I think we will see more crochet repurposed projects in the coming year as Cottage Core and Granny Chic decor are beloved by our youth!
This is also a cute idea…lavender sachets constructed from small doilies. I’m definitely going to think about this one…I have jars of lavender just waiting for inspiration like this!
The marriage of Crochet and Mod Podge is not a revolutionary idea but I was intrigued by these bowls. Before stiffening the doily you could dye them any color you wish. You will find instructions for these by following the link under the photo.
