Barn Update

Hello everyone!

It has been a while since I gave an update on our barn project. As many of you know the exterior of the barn has been finished for a while and my husband and nephew are busy working to finish the interior. Here is a pictorial tour of the progress to date.

The upstairs ceiling and walls are up and the pink insulation has disappeared! The side walls have been whitewashed and the banister rail oiled and varnished.

The floorboards have been sanded, oiled, and varnished. What a project!

All the floorboards have been moved upstairs and are waiting to be installed.

Here is my hubby and ultimate handyman contemplating the next step in the mini kitchen project. Cedar walls starting to take shape around the main floor kitchen area.

The first boards are up on the main floor ceiling! The walls will be covered with cedar fence boards.

The window trim has been sanded, oiled, and varnished. It is also ready for installation.

The feature wall is coming along….it will be finished on Monday!

I am so grateful that Tim, my husband, has the skills and passion to work on these very time consuming projects! It is great to have a handyman in the family!
