Autumn Wheat
“It looked like the world was covered in a cobbler crust of brown sugar and cinnamon.” - Sarah Addison Allen, First Frost
Inspiration for your Home
After dinner on Wednesday night Tim and I went for a bike ride. It was a multi-purpose adventure; first to get exercise, and second to hunt and gather. I remembered seeing acorns on the school grounds near our home and I wanted to collect a few of them for Fall decorating. My husband is a really good sport when it comes to this sort of adventure.
We were a little late in the season to find acorns but we persevered and managed to scavenge a few that the squirrels had left behind. I also collected a few bundles of oak leaves that had fallen out of the tree.
And....on the way home we stopped at an empty lot and collected a few more items for decorating. One person's weeds are another person's treasure...right?
I used my new found "treasures" to create a tablescape for our dining room table and you can do the same. Just gather a few grocery items and forage in your yard and you will be all set!
