Most Picturesque Easy Hike in The PNW

Image from stateparks.oregon.gov

The park is located 1 hour 15 minutes from the Portland, Oregon International airport. It is a beautiful drive through the countryside if you take highway 213 out of Oregon city. The hiking path is well marked and well maintained.

Waterfall video…one minute of ZEN!

The hike is a hidden gem in the middle of a forested area with old growth trees. The canopy of trees provides lots of shade for hot days but I recommend taking a jacket as it can be chilly in the shaded areas and under the waterfalls.

The waterfalls are simply amazing…but…don’t forget to look at the moss covered trees and the flora under your feet! You might just find a four leaf clover.

There is a campground at the park but it is currently closed because of the pandemic. You can stay in Silverton or at the nearby Oregon Garden Resort.

You will find more information about the park and nearby town of Silverton and the Oregon Garden Resort at these links. Happy hiking!

Don’t forget to pack a picnic!!!
