Our temperatures are starting to drop and the leaves are beginning to change colors. So to embrace the new season I decided to refresh the garden shed with Fall inspired decorations.
Swapping summer’s bright decor for autumn’s warm earthy tones creates a cozy inviting space. Changing our decor is a way to connect with the season and the rhythm of nature.
Let’s dive into how we transitioned our shed from a summer retreat to a fall-inspired coffee drinking destination.

This is how I styled the shed!
A pair of red chairs are exchanged for the summer white wicker chair.
An old wood stool is used for a table.
Pumpkins from our garden were piled next to the flower pots.
A wreath hanger is added to the screen door and a basket with fall leaves are hung on the hook. I found this basket at Walmart and “reconstructed” it a bit to suit my taste.
Two wicker baskets/vases are added to the porch and filled with the last sunflowers from the garden. The wicker vases were thrifted during a BOGO sale!
Textiles are added to soften the hard surfaces and create an inviting cozy feel.
And…just like that…we have transformed Summer to Autumn!
