Oregon Garden Tour

A little over a year ago my husband and I went to the Oregon Garden for a little retreat. We were there to plan and dream about the next 10 years of our lives. We made lots of plans…and then…the pandemic came along. Fast forward a year later and we were back there again for a “do-over”.

Things are looking brighter again and we are hopeful life will resume to a “better normal” with all we have learned from the Pandemic.

Come along with me for a pictorial tour of the garden…

As we drove through the countryside toward the garden, we saw the massive devastation of the recent ice storm. Giant fallen trees and branches EVERYWHERE…including the gardens.

Half of Oregon Garden is currently closed while storm clean up is underway. Broken branches and toppled trees will take time to clear away…but it is still worth a trip and a pleasant walk around the garden and surrounding areas.

Daffodils and hellebores are in bloom and the bees are busy working the flowering trees.

Blue skies were a welcome sight!

Spring bloomers line the pathways…

Signs of winter and spring mixed together in the same garden…

Camellias enjoying the sunshine too!

Note: The Oregon Garden Resort and the Oregon Garden Foundation are currently under separate management. If you stay at the resort you will have to pay admission directly to the garden. They hope to have this situation resolved soon and be back to business as usual.
