I titled this blog post Color of the Year because it seems that every paint company chose a shade of green for 2022…except one…and it was a local company from Portland, Oregon!

How did all the major paint companies choose the same color? I find it fascinating…did they send a secret text message or code to each other?

Well…however it happened the answer is GREEN! Except for Miller Paint Company…who chose a shade of pink!

Here are the specific shades of green chosen by 5 paint companies….and the “exceptional” pink from Portland!

Farrow and Ball included these colors for 2022 in addition to their shade of green.

This exception by Miller could be a nod to well…keeping Portland weird…or it could be a nod to thinking outside the color box. Either way, I applaud their courage to be different!
