Summer Solstice Party

Summer Solstice is upon us!

"Spring flew swiftly by, and summer came; and if the village had been beautiful at first, it was now in the full glow and luxuriance of its richness. ~ The earth had donned her mantle of brightest green; and shed her richest perfumes abroad. It was the prime and vigour of the year; all things were glad and flourishing."—Charles Dickens, Oliver Twist

I have been sitting outside on our patio every morning this week with coffee in hand enjoying the colors and sounds of summer. Yes! Summer has at last arrived in Vancouver and as Charles Dickens wrote....all things are glad and flourishing! I really love this time of year, seeing the flowers bloom in the yard and puttering outside.

The longest day of the year will arrive in our area on June 20th with 15 hours, 41 minutes, and 9 seconds of daylight. Are you planning to celebrate? Perhaps a Summer Solstice Party? Here are a few ideas to spark your creativity.
